Hong Kong & Macau - Terms & Condition for Consumer Product Warranty

1. Product warranty service provided by Shun Hing JVC Limited. (the Company) is applicable only for digital audio video products imported by the Company and restricted for products sold and being used in Hong Kong or Macau.
2. If you intend to use the product outside Hong Kong and Macau (including China), you need to apply for an International & Mainland China warranty by (a) sending the completed application form to Shun Hing JVC Ltd., 9/F, Part B, Peninsula Centre, 67 Mody Road, Tsimshatsui East, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Or (b) completing the online application at www.jvc.com.hk/warranty.
3. Starting from the date of purchase, two-year warranty service is provided for CRT TV, LCD TV, LCD monitor and photo LCD monitor, and one year for digital camcorder, D-ILA projector, DVD player, Blu-ray disc player, audio system, home theatre, VCR, car entertainment and other digital audio video products. (Light bulb exhaust and exchange of projector is not included.)
4. LCD TV, LCD monitor and photo LCD monitor are manufactured under Japan Industrial Quality Standard. If there are 4 or more bright/dead spots on the whole panel, please contact us at (852) 2313 0888 within 14 days from the date of purchase. After that, it is assumed that both parties accept product quality per se.
5. You MUST present an official receipt to the technician for inspection when service is rendered. The date of purchase on the product warranty must be the same as that on the official receipt. Otherwise, all warranties would be void. If you receive your product as a gift or prize and do not have a receipt to back it up, please call the Company at (852) 2313 0888 for special registration.
6. The Company does not recognize any other warranty registration issued by any other party.
7. For any defect, in the judgment of our technician, caused under normal use, the Company is responsible for repairing or replacing parts (excluding cabinet, laser pick up unit, panel, image sensor(CCD / CMOS), lens, remote control unit and other accessories (such as battery, AC adaptor etc.), external aerial system is not covered and shall be chargeable. Replaced parts will become property of the Company.
8. The product warranty will become void under any and/or several of the following conditions: (a) The product has been altered or replaced by technician or any other person not explicitly authorized by the Company. (b) It has been damaged through misuse, negligence, accident, dampness, water ingress, insect or natural calamities. (c) It has developed malfunctions caused by power interruption, abnormal voltage input or using non-JVC consumables or accessories. (d) The serial number of the product has been altered or removed. (e) The product is used for industrial or commercial purpose.
9. In case you wish to amend any data on the product warranty, such as change of ownership, address and telephone number etc. Please update your data online or inform us by e-mail. You may also call (852) 2313 0888 as soon as possible to ensure efficient service.
10. For Hong Kong off-shore islands service (excluding Discovery Bay and Tung Chung town centre), a travelling fee will be levied and in case workshop service is needed, the unit must be brought by the customer to our designated service stations and pick up at the same spot after repair.
11. For portable products (car entertainment product, digital camcorder, DVD Player, Blu-ray disc Player, micro Hi-Fi system, Hi-Fi system and portable audio system) the client is responsible for the transportation of the unit to and from our repair service stations. 12. The Company retains final deciding authority in any event of dispute.
